One of the chief responsibilities of COA is legislative advocacy on the behalf of the PHS Commissioned Corps. COA is committed to tackling legislative and policy issues and raising consciousness regarding public health in local and national media. In maintaining a presence on Capitol Hill, COA can bring the concerns of its uniformed officers to the attention of Congress and effectively protect their interests.
