The CPH exam is administered by the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE). Since the inaugural CPH exam in 2008, thousands of public health professionals have passed the CPH exam. Most Public Health Service officers qualify under the eligibility criteria, and COA members receive a $135 application discount and a free study guide. Individuals who have a bachelor’s degree and at least five subsequent years’ public health work experience are eligible to take the CPH exam. Take this opportunity to set yourself apart! Passing the CPH Exam may be another feather in your cap for promotion within the Commissioned Corps.

"While attending the COF conference in New Orleans I visited the CPH booth. After learning more about the CPH I decided to take the plunge and take the certification exam. It had been over six years since completing graduate school and I thought that obtaining the certification would be a good way to refresh my memory and stay current in the field of public health." - CDR Megan Mattingly, USPHS

To receive your free study guide and the $135 application discount, visit the NBPHE site for the CPH Study Guide and create a new account with your email address. After you log in with your credentials, you will be directed to a payment page. To see a zero balance and access the Study Guide, you will need to input the discount code "coadiscount" and your COA member number at check-out.
